Preemptive Solutions Receives 2007 Readers' Choice Award from Visual Studio Magazine

Cleveland, Ohio - June 6, 2007 PreEmptive Solutions, suppliers of the leading Enterprise Obfuscation Solution for the Microsoft .NET environment and Java, today announced that their flagship obfuscation tool for .NET - Dotfuscator - has been honored with a Readers' Choice Award from Visual Studio Magazine, in the category of Security and Copy Protection.

The 2007 winners, which appear in the June issue, are chosen by Visual Studio Magazine's readers and honor excellent software in 22 development categories. In addition to being distributed by Microsoft inside Visual Studio 2003, 2005 and now 2008, PreEmptive Solutions has pushed its commercial grade version of Dotfuscator to include Tamper Notification and Real-time Defense capabilities, which has essentially re-defined the obfuscation market. P

atrick Meader, Visual Studio Magazine editor in chief, said, "The Readers Choice Awards are special because it is an accolade from the person most qualified to say whether a product is great: the person who uses it. These aren't managers voting, but developers - developers who use these tools on a daily basis to simplify their lives and create better software at a lower price. As such, there is no better recommendation for the value of a given company's product. I commend all the Readers Choice Award winners. Visual Studio Magazine readers have put your product on top."

"We are extremely proud to be recognized by software developers and managers with this award," said Gabriel Torok, president of PreEmptive Solutions. "Piracy, vulnerability exploitation and intellectual property theft continue to plague companies large and small, and it is a tremendous honor to learn that those working on the front lines in this battle view Dotfuscator as an essential part of their arsenal."

Visual Studio Magazine presented awards in three categories: 1. Readers Choice Awards, given to products that received the most readers' votes 2. Readers Choice Merit Awards, given to products receiving a high number of votes that also show real value to Visual Studio Magazine readers 3. Editors Choice Award, given to products that shows special merit or innovation, but don't fit comfortably into the standard categories.
