Product managers are responsible for the success of their products. Their goal is to ensure the products function properly and meet their customers' needs. More importantly, product managers need to know how their customers use their product so improvements can be made, customers retained, and product success is maintained. While we can't help you achieve all these goals, following are those where PreEmptive can make a substantial impact: 1) Understand Utilization Few software publishers have more than a cursory view into how their clients actually use their applications. As a result, they rely on anecdotal information and general user feedback to guide them in the improvement/development process. Actual use is often substantially different than perceived use, making this approach tenuous at best, and possibly dangerous.
