PreEmptive Solutions Updates and Expands Community Edition of Dotfuscator inside Visual Studio
Dotfuscator Community Edition (CE) included with Visual Studio vNext preview includes command line interface.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — March 31, 2016 — PreEmptive Solutions announced today that PreEmptive Dotfuscator CE will be included in Microsoft Visual Studio vNext, and is available in the preview release announced at Microsoft Build 2016. In addition, PreEmptive Solutions announced an update to Dotfuscator CE for users of Visual Studio 2015 to add a command line interface.
“The command line interface has always been available with Dotfuscator Professional – but not with the CE version,” said William Leach, CTO PreEmptive Solutions. “The command line interface is, by far, the most requested feature from our CE user community and we are delighted to be able to offer it starting today.”
“We continue to work closely with PreEmptive Solutions to create high-quality tools that help teams successfully manage the development lifecycle of modern applications,” said Mitra Azizirad, General Manager, Cloud Application Development & Data, Microsoft Corp. “Through their integration with Visual Studio and cross platform support, PreEmptive Solutions helps application stakeholders protect their intellectual property, improve response time to production incidents and create a more collaborative development environment.”
Dotfuscator CE includes the ability to obfuscate .NET assemblies and to inject tamper detection application instrumentation without modifying source code.
Dotfuscator CE ships with all versions of Visual Studio (other than Visual Studio Express).
