There are two graphical user interfaces available with Dotfuscator:
Both user interfaces allow you to configure all aspects of a Dotfuscator project. The standalone GUI is generally preferable for larger projects or projects with complex inputs and outputs. The Visual Studio GUI is generally preferable for smaller projects that are typically built entirely within Visual Studio.
Both user interfaces configure builds using an XML file called a Dotfuscator config file (or sometimes a "Dotfuscator project file") that is compatible with the other user interface, and that can be integrated into automated build scripts.
The first two topics in this section describe the components of the two user interfaces that are different from each other, while the remaining sections describe elements and features that are common to both.
